In 2015, the UN adopted the Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development, an opportunity for countries and their societies to embark on a new path to improve the lives of all, leaving no one behind.
The Agenda has 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which include everything from eliminating poverty to combating climate change, education, women’s equality, environmental protection and the design of our cities.
Wenalyze, since its beginnings, has identified with sustainable development, but since July 2020 we have aligned ourselves with the United Nations sustainable development objectives.
Our solution undoubtedly contributes to reaching objective 9.3 of objective 9 on Sustainable Communities and Cities.
Target 9.3 emphasizes the need to increase access of small industries and other businesses, particularly in developing countries, to financial services, including affordable credit, and their integration into value chains and markets.
The measures we have taken include three areas:
- Gender equality
- Social inclusion
Gender equality at Wenalyze is one of our priorities, which is why we try, on an equal footing, to prioritise the recruitment of women until we reach parity.
That is why Wenalyze establishes, among others, in its code of ethics, the objectives and action plans aimed at achieving full equality of opportunity, and includes aspects of:
- Awareness raising of the company’s managers.
- Specific policies for the selection of personnel and internal promotion.
- Development of flexibility measures that facilitate the reconciliation of personal and professional life.
- Active management of all the variables that affect a more accelerated progress of the gender balance.
At present, Wenalyze’s main objective is to accelerate equality at high levels of responsibility and in the group of software developers and data scientists.
SUSTAINABILITY & ENVIRONMENT
Wenalyze’s commitment to sustainability and the environment is clear.
During 2020 the company has migrated all its information gathering systems, robots and local machine computing to the cloud thus optimizing the use of cloud servers by 65% and reducing consumption through better energy efficiency by 29% and the complete elimination of waste from obsolete server and machine components, and we have reduced CO2 emissions by up to 88%.
In fact, the only devices that use electronic components are individual laptop and mobile phone computers that are included in an end-of-life component recycling program
Wenalyze’s commitment to sustainability does not end here, but is also completed with a rigorous selection of suppliers that offer us the maximum guarantees of near-zero emissions and consumption based on clean energies.
